The third edition of Gamergy will be held at Feria de Madrid on the weekend of June 26-28.
After the success of the last edition (26,000 visitors), Gamergy will host for the second time the Dota 2 FinalCup of the Professional Video Game League (LVP), with the best national players of this game, one of the most played in the world and with a world final that last year broke all records and marked a historic milestone by having a prize pool of almost 11 million dollars (and that this year seems to be on the way to surpassing it since in just ten days it has reached 7 million).
The Finals bring together the four teams from the LVP Dota 2 Qualifiers. So far the following teams have qualified:
- Lisabeth in the Night
- NON Servium
- Atlantis eSportsClub
This week is the last and disputed qualifier to access the Dota 2 FinalCup on Gamergy and this Sunday, May 17 at 5:00 p.m., the final of the qualifier will be broadcast live from Gaming.tv: the new streaming platform online of Spanish origin that comes to overshadow giants like Twitch or YouTube in the field of e-Sports in our language.
It will be the premiere of the LVP on this platform, currently in alpha, and a test for future league action on Gaming.tv. The channel where it will be broadcast is the following: www.gaming.tv/LVPes. The commentary team will be headed by Luis Gómez Rubio, ‘ Necca ‘, from Viciuslab, well known in the Dota community.
The Dota 2 competition on Gamergy will feature a group stage, a knockout stage, and the final. On Saturday 26 the group stage will be played. Two qualifying matches and the grand final will be played on Sunday.
The matches will be played in a game arena with a small stand. The entire competition will be broadcast live on the internet.
The winner of the Final Cup receives the trophy that accredits him as National League Champion of Season 8. The finalists share a prize pool of 2,700 euros.
The event will also feature the participation of Dota WTF, a Spanish channel with an international vocation that has almost 800,000 subscribers on YouTube.
